An exhibition of the work of photographer Edward Steichen. Showing at The deCordova Museum in Lincoln, MA until March 19. You may have discovered Steichen as I did in the exhibition catalogue of the great “Family of Man” show, curated by Steichen in 1955. The photographer’s ground-breaking work helped photography gain recognition as an art form in a world of skeptical art critics. Marvel at his dramatic portraits of Hollywood stars, still life compositions, high-fashion, flowers, and city scenes.

Photographer: Lou Jones Lecture, Amesbury, MA Jan 21

Lou Jones, esteemed Boston-based photographer January 21, 7PM:  A Lecture Series on Innovation in Contemporary Photography. Jones has been awarded Travel Photographer of the Year by the International Photographic Council (United Nations). Nikon recognizes Jones as a “Legend Behind the Lens” and Lowepro has honored him as a “Champion”.for his photography, Jones helped found the school Center for Digital Imaging Arts of Boston University and conceived the prestigious Griffin Museum’s annual Focus Awards.

I’m Showing At the Newburyport Art Association

Two of my photographs are on exhibit at the annual Fall Juried Show at the Newburyport Art Association, Newburyport MA. The show runs from October 3 — 25. The opening reception is Saturday, October 4 from 7 PM to 9 PM. The show includes: Acrylic, Fine Crafts, Mixed Media, Pastel, & Photography. As a member of the NAA for many years I was drawn to the gallery because it features more photography than any other art association in the region.
